We are happy to report that the members have overwhelmingly ratified the contract extension. Turnout was quite high, at 2238 or 61% of eligible members voting. The result was 98% in favor, a resounding endorsement of the value of this agreement.
The ESC PG&E Unit Board had unanimously recommended the contract extension based on the gains in income, benefits protections and employment security offered by the table agreement.
ESC members authorized electronic voting when the constitution was ratified in 2011 by the membership and preliminary feedback has been positive. The Unit board will consider all members’ input before deciding voting policies in future elections and ratification votes.
