We want to wish everyone a happy Labor Day, and to extend our appreciation to the workers who came before us, who fought and sometimes died for our right to organize a union, for fair wages, for safe working conditions, and for an 8-hour day and a 5-day workweek.

In a year when our workers have faced unprecedented challenges, including a pandemic stretching thin our healthcare heroes and devastating fires threatening our workers’ homes, lives, and livelihoods, Labor Day is the time to remember the sacrifices workers made in the past and to celebrate the solidarity of workers in the present. This Labor Day, we remind ourselves that when we stand together to demand our rights, we win!
